Vitamin A Deficiency
SYMPTOMS. There may be a retardation of growth in children. Others may
include night blindness, susceptibility to infection, softening of the
cornea and the surface of the conjunctiva in the eye may be abnormally dry.
CAUSES may include inadequate intake of green leafy vegetables, butter, egg
yoke, liver or cream. It may also be the result of absorption deficiency and
storage and many types of diseases.
TREATMENT. Doses of vitamin A, cause corrected.
